The Skills Centre opened its doors in 1997, back when it was a much different organization than today. Twelve years ago there were three staff holding one small contract. Today The Skills Centre employs 24 people and they hold several diverse contracts from customized training to social enterprise.
In 1997 the Skills Centre was one of 20 original Skills Centre’s to open its doors. Today they are one of four remaining Skills Centre’s existing in BC. The Skills Centre not only exists but thrives today due in-part to our strong private, public, and other non-profit partnerships as well as the fact that their dedicated staff continually work towards a diversity of services.
